This place is so beautiful and peaceful! The architecture of the temple is stunning inside and out. The grounds always have beautiful, seasonal plants and flowers. In the warmer seasons they have pristine fountains. The staff is all very friendly and welcoming. It's a perfect place for a moment of peaceful reflection or even a photo-op.

On our visit to Chicago, this was quite possibly the most noteworthy part of the trip because of the stark contrast of how peaceful the temple and gardens are compared to the bustle of the city. Appreciate the architecture and detail that went into the temple. Take off your shoes to stroll through the gardens. It's a drive from the city, but definitely worth a look.

I went into the temple and showed admiration but upon leaving the centre an obese woman "guarding" the place hissed at me with wickedness to be quiet. How very rude! I shan't return. Filthy place.

The Temple and the grounds are very beautiful and peaceful. I used to take the bikepath along the Lake and bike to this tranquil oasis on the weekends. Inside, it is silent, full of light, and divine. Enjoy a few (or many) moments of silence here. The gardens surrounding the Temple are worth a walk-around as well.

Ironically, I was discriminated against by a security guard working there. Oneness my ass. First time going in to pray as I am going through a great depression & needed to seek a place of silence & healing. After my prayer I got up and was getting ready to leave. As I was respectfully exiting the building, she stopped to tell me that the people who come to that temple do not accept "people like me". She said to me I will go to straight hell if I don't "turn" straight because men exist only to reproduce with women. She then proceeded to try to get me to admit I have aids (which for the record I don't). You think I'm joking but I'm not. I stood there in literal disbelief. This woman had no idea who I am & had no reason to disrespect me. It left a really bad taste in my mouth. I left with rage and don't plan to ever return. I forget what her name was but she was Spanish.
